1. What is mash cake?

A smash cake is a special type of cake designed and made for a baby to freely play with and “smash” during a birthday celebration, typically the first birthday. Smash cakes are usually entirely made from baby-safe ingredients, and the main goal is to create fun and carefree moments as the baby enjoys the cake in their own way.

Smash cakes often have creative and interesting designs, reflecting the baby’s interests or favorite themes. The cake may be decorated with frosting, edible images, and other accessories to create a lively and adorable atmosphere for the birthday party.

At the start of the celebration, the baby is placed in front of the smash cake and is allowed to freely interact with it, even smashing into the cake with their hands or with some small toys. A smash cake party is not only an opportunity to capture cute pictures but also a moment for family and friends to enjoy the joyful moments with the little one.
